Here's how it works: You bring a gift-wrapped wine, valued between $10 and $20, and a $10 contribution. We'll provide an assortment of delicious tasting wines and some hors d'oeuvres, and then the bottle swap will begin....

Beaujolais Nouveau (and Not) Tasting

Come celebrate the big release of Beaujolais Nouveau with us on Thursday, November 18th, starting at 7 p.m.!

We'll pay homage to the big Beaujolais release day with some bottles of the fun, fruity wine (and a Beaujo inspired cocktail to boot), but we'll also try some more "grown-up" versions of Beaujolais, including some delicious Beaujolais Villages.

Bring yourself, a bottle of Beaujolais Nouveau (or another young French wine), and $6. We'll provide some fun wines, a cocktail and some appetizers!

"Wines to Fall For" In-Home Tasting

Scheduled for Thursday, October 14, 2010 from 7:30-9pm. The theme of this tasting will be “Wines to Fall For” including heavier white wines (Chardonnay, Viognier, Reisling) and lighter or medium reds (Pinot Noir, Cotes du Rhone, Malbec or Merlot).  Please see Events tab for more info!

Upcoming Events

We're getting off the ground, DC!  Our first event will be this Wednesday (August 25) at Bell's Wine Shop for a Grand Tasting of 30+ wines from Down Under. We're also working on going to a few wine festivals in the area, Virginia at Bull Run and Vintage Crystal in Crystal City. More on these events are on the Events tab.

Also on the list, we're going to visit a few wine bars in the area in the upcoming weeks. Check back for more details. Hope to see you soon!

Watch Out DC!

The DC Chapter of the Young Winos has officially started! We are a group of 20-somethings who share a common interest in wine.  We meet a few times a month and explore different varietals, participate in wine/food related events and plan trips to local wineries. Luckily, we are close to the thriving Virginia Wine Country.

We always welcome new members and new ideas. Feel free to join us and give us your feedback. We are hoping to set up events in the near future so check back regularly for a schedule of all things wine in DC.
