Monthly Meet & Greet at Vinoteca

Our group is growing every week (yay!) so to welcome our new members, we'll be hosting a monthly meet and greet at Vinoteca the first Thursday of every month. Our first one will be Thursday, April 5.

Virginia Wine Country Trip

Sunday, April 1
12-5pm

Wine country is in our backyard! Join us as we venture out to Loudoun County to visit Hillsborough & Casanel Vineyards. Scenic views and great wines are the perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon and a great way to kick off Spring. Pack a picnic and join us!

Details on transportation to come. If enough interest is shown (via comments below), we will look into a Reston Limo bus.

Valentine's Day Bubbly Tasting with DCanted & DC Patisserie

Nothing says Valentine's Day quite like Bubbly and chocolates! Join us for a bubbly tasting with 2 of our very own Winos, Ali & Rachel. They just launched a private wine tasting business, DCanted. So, let's toast to their new endeavor and enjoy a great bubbly tasting!

JUST ANNOUNCED: DC Patisserie will be at our next event showcasing her Macarons and other treats. Bring some extra $ to purchase perfect Valentine's Day gifts!!

As always, a $10 donation is requested for the tasting wines, chocolates and room rental and don't forget to bring a bottle of bubbly to share!

FREE French Wine Tasting & Half Price Bottles at Eleventh

Ok VA it's your turn! Join the Young Winos at Eleventh where we'll feature a FREE French wine tasting given by our own member, Andrea! It is also Half Price Bottle night so once you find a favorite, sit down, order a bottle and share amongst friends! You may also order by the glass and their full menu will be available.

We will have the tasting table set up from 5:30 to about 9pm. Come by whenever you can and join in the fun!

Eleventh is easily metro accessible, only a block from the Clarendon stop on the Orange line.

Wine Tasting at Sign of the Whale

$5 wine tasting of 5 wines at The Whale with FREE food!! We'll be tasting 5 different wines and sampling appetizers. After the tasting, you will receive a glass of your favorite and it will be $5/glass of the tasting wines and/or half price bottles after that!

This is a great deal! Don't miss out. Please ONLY RSVP if you are CERTAIN you will be there. They charge me $5/person who's a no-show!!!

We Turned 1!

Last night was our first anniversary bash at Urbana where we sipped on wine, engaged in great conversation and enjoyed delicious pizzas! The summer has been very busy for everyone so it had been a while since our last event. It was very casual where we celebrated all the good times we've had in the past and brainstormed new ideas for future events.

Despite the rainy weather, we had a great turnout!

Also, some local companies donated gifts to hand out to our members. Thanks to VA Wine in My Pocket for giving everyone a free iPhone/iPad app so we can navigate VA wine country! Also thanks to WineWear for donating creative sleeves for gifting wine. Everyone appreciated the gifts, I mean who doesn't love free stuff?!
