Gustavo Gonzalez has been producing wine for over 2 decades in 5 different countries. He even produced a 100pt wine, the 2001 Masetto, which was described as "best super Tuscan ever". He was also the red winemaker for Robert Mondavi for 17 years. 

Mira Winery has also been in the news recently for aging their wine underwater! Now it's your turn to meet and greet with Gustavo and learn from one of the best in the industry!

Taste his award-winning wines from Mira Winery at Calvert Woodley this Thursday from 5-8pm.

WineDown Yoga at 8 Chains North

Yoga, wine, tasty dishes and silent auction to benefit the African Yoga Project in Nairobi, Kenya. All proceeds go to the project which supports local food, yoga, and education programs for 5,000 + youth and adults. 

Tickets are $35, and includes a relaxing Yoga class, glass or tasting of wine, tasty dishes and access to our silent auction. Event takes place in the 8 Chains North newly renovated tasting room over looking the vineyard. Come join Young Winos of DC and Bon Vivant DC at Veritas Wine Bar for an interactive, blind winetasting of varietals from California and France.

Cheese and charcuterie will be provided to complement the vino. Learn about the differences between these two renowned wine regions from DC wine experts and Veritas' own sommelier.

We will explore some of the differences between Old World and New World wines in side by side pairing of sparkling, rose, white and red wines.
