  1. Excellent wines - Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah!, earthy cuisine, Italian influences, empanadas!... all from lovely Argentinean people

  2. I studied abroad in Buenos Aires and fell in love with Argentine wines, especially a lovely Malbec! I'm a huge fan of a light red, and a Malbec fits the bill. Luckily, I introduced my family to Malbec when they came to visit, which means plenty of Argentine wines when I go home to visit.

  3. I love Argentina! The food, the culture, and of course the WINE. Well, I am TRYING to afford to go to Mendoza over Christmas break. I could put some $$ away from that if I didn't pay for this happy hour! :)

  4. I would jump at the chance to learn more about Argentina and its cuisine and wines. The romance and the drama that its most famous dance, the Tango, exudes is exquisite and I have no doubt that wines and food from that region would be equally romantic and filled with drama! I must try it! Getting the tickets for free would insure that I would not miss it!

  5. I'll be hosting an Italian in DC for this event, so I'd love to show him that the Americas produce some great wines too!! Plus the steaks are better ;)

  7. Um, morcilla anyone? Best stuff in the world. And a nice glass of anything from Torrontes grades. Simple but amazing. Ridiculously delicious. Probably the only white wine in the world that can hold up to a crazy blood sausage.

PS, we are poor and very thirsty.
